Researching LGBTQ+ Ancestors @ MNGS North Star Conference

Today, I presented “Researching LGBTQ+ Ancestors” as part of Minnesota Genealogical Society’s North Star Conference, and this timeline of key moments that impacted the rights and culture of LGBTQIA+ folks in the United States was part of it. I promised attendees that I would share this if they were interested, so here it is!

A timeline of moments in British and United States history that impacted the rights and lives of LGBTQIA+ people, starting in 1533.

Tomorrow is the final day of North Star, and I’ll be presenting “Manage Your Digital Family Archive.” It’s been a great conference so far, and I’ve had so many lovely chats with fellow genealogists. I’m looking forward to more tomorrow!
